Swastika Bungalow

The staff were the best part of the resort. Their helpfulness and warmth made our stay truly memorable, and it offered good value for money without a luxury price tag. The grounds are lush, tropical and very well cared for. There are three pools and a pool bar, so plenty of places to relax. We liked the traditional Balinese style of the bungalows, and our space was both comfortable and roomy. It’s a quiet retreat, yet only about a ten-minute walk from the beach and close to local amenities. Breakfast was good, with a nice choice of fresh fruit and Asian and Western dishes. A lovely option if you want Balinese charm alongside a handy town location.

I stayed for four weeks and had a lovely time. The place is in Sanur, just a minute's walk from the beach and five minutes from the modern Icon shopping centre, making it a nice spot to unwind. The rooms are simple, but have all the essentials and were cleaned very well every day. The staff were friendly, trustworthy and very attentive. There are also talented masseuses on-site, and their prices are very reasonable. I’d absolutely stay again.

Not the right place for us. We were meeting friends here for six days, though we hadn’t chosen the hotel ourselves, and we left after two nights. My wife has mobility issues, and getting around was difficult for her. She tripped in the bathroom. The room was okay, but there wasn’t a desk for me to work at. The wifi was fast when it worked, but kept dropping every five minutes or so. Bathroom water pressure was very weak, and breakfast was the worst we’ve had. It felt cheap, but the price wasn’t. We found a much nicer hotel for $27 a night. We did like the location and garden.

A few easygoing days with my elder daughter. The pools were lovely, the rooms clean, and the service very sweet and friendly. It’s in a fantastic spot in the middle of Sanur. Breakfast was average, but I’d happily stay again.
