The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. The room and its facilities, though, don’t meet the standard of a quality hotel. We booked an apartment so our two children could stay with us, but it was very old and worn out. The sheets were dirty, and the AC in the main bedroom kept switching off every 30-60 minutes. I got a very poor night’s sleep.

The rooms are spacious, and the personnel were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, with lots of choices and as much as you like. They’ll prepare eggs on the spot if you want. The only downside in the room was the bathroom water flow, which wasn’t constant. That made it hard to keep the temperature steady when using hot water. Nearby, there are several markets, one for fruit and vegetables, another mostly for clothing and jewelry, and an indoor market that’s mostly clothing and jewelry too.

Nia was one of my favorite waitresses, always cheerful, and the sushi on the 4th floor was the best. The spice sour creamy soup and happy soda are worth trying, too. This is my favorite hotel in Balikpapan. The staff are lovely, most can speak English, and my room stayed clean, with the bedsheets changed almost every day. ❤️

I'm glad I picked this hotel and would definitely come back. The food was delicious, with lots to choose from, plus snacks and food stalls downstairs. The room was very spacious, and the reception staff were friendly. A pleasant stay.
