They even provide a shuttle to the mosque for the subuh prayer. The room was clean, though there’s room for improvement, and breakfast was simple but good. Staff were attentive and accommodating, and let us leave our bags while we went to Pulau Sabang. The location is handy for Masjid Raya Baiturrahman, Pasar Aceh, souvenir shops, and seafood restaurants.

Parking is the main downside, with very limited space for vehicles. Otherwise, it’s a neat, cozy hotel with really helpful staff and an average price. It’s right in the middle of the city, close to the culinary area.

We had a corner room, which gave us quite a bit of space, and the toilet and bathroom were separate. The hotel is near the city center. They told us that, because of syariah law, the curtains need to stay drawn so people on the street can’t look into the room. Breakfast was average, and many items had run out by the time we went down at 8 a.m.

The road by the 5 junction is really busy, but our room didn’t seem to let the noise in, possibly because it was at the back. There are lots of eateries and coffee places nearby. The room was nice and the amenities worked well. Breakfast was so-so, though the coffee was good.

This was not what I expected, and I won’t stay here again. The room was too small even for a couple. Smokers, be careful: there’s no sign saying you can’t smoke in the room, but if they find cigarette butts in the bin, they’ll ask you to pay a fine.
