Bandara Syariah

It's very close to the airport, which worked well for my travel plans. A good spot for a short stay.

The room and bathroom were both fairly spacious, and the hotel has kept up a decent standard even though it looks old. The breakfast had around ten different dishes, but I couldn't find any salad. It's a handy choice if you need to catch a morning flight, since they arrange a ride to the airport and the trip takes only about five minutes.

I was too tired to complain after being moved twice, so I ended up accepting the second room. The staff were fairly helpful when I asked to change rooms. I had booked two superior rooms and upgraded to deluxe. In the first deluxe room the shower didn't work; in the next one, the toilet wouldn't flush. The other room had a toilet door that was hard to open and lock, dim lighting, and a TV that didn't work. Neither room's TV was usable. There were some useful things provided: warm water, tea and coffee, slippers, prayer items, a toothbrush and toothpaste. But each room had only one towel for two guests, and the air conditioning was cold but very loud. Breakfast was served cold, though it was good enough, and the restaurant area was very nice. The hotel also offered free airport transfer, and let us leave our belongings for a while before check-in.

The staff are friendly, and there are eateries and a minimart nearby. We keep choosing this hotel when we have an early flight to Jakarta.
