Mocca by Classic Guest House

The room itself was dark and not clean. The bed and pillows smelled musty, and the only things supplied were towels and soap. I couldn't charge my phone because the outlet in the room didn't work. I booked the budget room for about IDR 100,000++ per night through Agoda for two nights. I chose this place because Agoda said check-in from 00:00 was available, which suited my train arrival at 23:35. Before booking, I read Google Maps reviews, found the owner's number, and messaged them on WhatsApp to confirm I could arrive around midnight. They said that was fine. But when I got there, the room I'd booked was occupied. The owner offered a premium room for an extra IDR 100,000, saying the fee was for early check-in. My original room was only about IDR 100,000++ a night, and nobody had told me in advance that it was unavailable or that early check-in would cost an extra night's rate. I was shocked to hear about the charge only after arriving. Communication was seriously lacking. Breakfast was confusing too. On the first day, the owner offered it without mentioning a charge, so I assumed it was included. At checkout, I was billed for the pancake I'd eaten. I told the housekeeper I hadn't known it cost extra since breakfast had simply been offered, and I honestly felt scammed. I complained, and in the end I didn't have to pay for that first breakfast. For around IDR 100,000++ per night including breakfast, the price could have been decent, but the choices weren't what I was told. When I asked, the housekeeper listed fried rice, fried noodles, and pancakes. I ordered fried rice, then was told they didn't actually have it and could only serve pancakes. So that's what I ate every day of the stay, and I got bored of it.
