The pool was clean and nice, and the room itself was okay. There weren’t many mosquitoes, though there are plenty of geckos in the room that you’ll need to get used to. Sleep was the real problem. A nearby karaoke place played music from around midnight until 4 or 5 am, sometimes 6 on weekends. On Sunday, loud live music from the nearby church started around 7 am. Unless you sleep like a hibernating bear, I wouldn’t book here. We were there for seven nights, and being given a room closest to the karaoke wasn’t what we expected, even though we understood many rooms were booked during the national holidays. I’d also read the room details more carefully: ours came with only a fan, which was my mistake. The hotel offered an upgrade to an AC room, but it seemed smaller and much darker, and the nighttime noise was just as bad. The bathrooms need renovating soon, and the towels should all be replaced.
