There’s a fish pond, and the water sounds lovely at night. I hadn’t expected to find such a calm atmosphere right in the center of town. The homestay is quite clean and comfortable. If you want to feel the Javanese atmosphere, you should stay here.

You get a little village-in-Java feeling here, with Javanese and nature themes. The facilities are complete: AC, a king bed, toilet, TV, a kitchen for guests, and breakfast. They also serve alcohol if you want some. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for that kind of homestay.

We had a really bad experience with our family on the last New Year’s Eve. I booked the room through Airbnb, but the host said they’d closed their account two years earlier. They weren’t helpful at all and didn’t welcome us as customers. They also didn’t seem to care about the money we’d transferred to Airbnb. Thanks to Airbnb for helping sort it out, cancel the booking, and refund the payment.

They’ve turned a traditional joglo-style house into nice, comfortable rooms. The shared kitchen and dining space are useful for storing or preparing food, or just having a hot drink.

The staff were wonderful, attentive, and thoughtful about the details. We felt at home during our holiday in Yogyakarta. A very nice place to stay, and highly recommended.
