Cove West Inn

It’s on one of Bandung’s busiest streets, so getting there can be tricky because of the one-way roads, though it’s easy to head into central Bandung from the hotel. The room was clean and the Wi-Fi was good, and the elevators made getting to the upper floors easy. The room itself is small, but fair for the price, and the lighting was good. The bathroom design could be better: there’s no shower curtain, so water splashes everywhere. Parking means handing over your car keys, which I can understand to a point. They also require a cash deposit, which feels unacceptable these days when a credit card hold would be preferable. For the price, though, it’s a good hotel.

There’s plenty to do nearby, from finding food, gifts, and fashion to spending time in the malls and shopping centers. The hotel is clean and elegant, and check-in and checkout were quick, easy, and friendly. My room was tidy, the AC worked well, bottled drinking water was supplied each day, and there was an electric kettle for making coffee or another hot drink, a big plus for me as a coffee drinker. The bathroom was okay but could have been cleaner. There was only one power outlet, and another would be useful. I had an enjoyable stay and wish I could have stayed longer. At the right price, depending on the OTA promotion, I’d book again.

The room and bathroom cleaning were unsatisfactory, and the staff behaved poorly. The rates were exorbitant too. One of the worst hotels in the world, and not just in Bandung. Save your money and avoid it.

It’s close to the Cihampelas street walk shopping, business, and leisure area. The room was clean and not very spacious, but big enough. Staff were friendly and ready to help with the limited parking space.
