D'Sovia Hotel Bandung

D’Sovia Hotel Bandung has budget-friendly prices and a good location, and the staff were excellent, friendly, and attentive. But there were a few letdowns: I spotted a small cockroach in the bathroom, the linen smelled unpleasant, and toiletries were very limited, so bring your own. With better cleanliness and amenities, the stay could be much better. For now it's an okay budget choice if good service matters more to you than luxury.

I needed a room at 10:00, but the receptionist told me check-in was at 14:00 and said there wouldn't be a vacant room until then. When I asked how I could get in earlier, she said I'd have to pay an extra 150k on top of the 300k room rate. There was actually a vacant room. I ended up finding another hotel at jl.pajajaran, where they let me check in in the morning without an extra charge.

The rooms were really comfortable and I enjoyed my stay more than I expected. The pool and sky deck cost extra to use, which was the only downside. The surroundings aren't so nice, though there is an Indomaret right next to the hotel.

We booked two rooms through Agoda, and my children were happy with the facilities. The rooms were big and good, with free bottled water and a kettle for coffee and other things. The rooftop pools had clean, well-maintained water and plenty of space. Staff were excellent, friendly, and helpful. Very, very good. We’d come again.
