Horizone Residence

The room was small but clean, though the bed cover didn’t look very clean even in the dim light. The hotel is combined with a kost, and the front office is in the parking area. There’s only one plug socket, by the TV, so I suggest bringing an extension lead for your devices. I turned the hot tap all the way up, but the water still wasn’t hot enough. Please make sure the bedsheets and bed cover are clean.

There were lots of Grab drivers nearby, so pickups were quick. The place is also close to a water refill shop, warungs a few roads away, and the main road. We stayed four nights while making a visa run to Singapore and back. Each day we asked to move into a clean room, and the rooms we moved into were tidy, smelled good, and had fresh water and soap. There were plenty of rooms, but they made us wait until checkout time to move, I guess because they were cleaning. Staff didn’t speak much English, so we used Google Translate a lot.

I was unsure about checking in at first and worried OYO 196 might not meet my expectations, but it turned out to be a standard BnB room. The bed was comfortable enough and the room was clean, with the room and toiletries prepared. Check-in was easy, the service was good, and the AC, hot shower, lamps, and cable TV all worked well. The Wi-Fi kept disconnecting, so I had to log in again. I also got a great deal, Rp150k for two nights. Thanks OYO.

We had to ask for a towel, the lamp was broken, and the toilet smelled bad. My colleague’s room had no mirror, and there was no phone to call the receptionist.
