Lengkong Heritage

The area is convenient, and the place itself was cozy and clean, but the service left a lot to be desired. There wasn't any information in the room about check-in or check-out times, or other usual hotel details. We were getting ready for an event at the hotel at 10 pm when a staff member came to our room at 9 am. They told us to pack up and leave our luggage at the front office because another guest would be using the room. They also asked about an extra charge for an extra blanket, which was dirty, right outside the room. That was really impolite. We've stayed in hotels often and never had this kind of experience. We expected to check out around 12 pm, with the payment charged when we returned the room key.

The location is good, and breakfast was decent. The room photos are out of date, though, and don't reflect what you get. We waited an hour and a half at reception, with check-in only happening at exactly 2:00 p.m. Our room's window was fake, facing a brick wall instead of the street. The room smelled awful because there was no ventilation, and the interior was in poor shape and needed renovation. The bed linen was dirty. Staff replaced it an hour after we asked, but the new set wasn't much better. There was no hot water until we'd complained for two days. Renovation work in the courtyard also went on from morning to evening, and if you get a room with a window, you may well hear it.

The room was tiny, though for the price I thought it was fair. I booked through traveloka for a holiday and found the place cheap, clean, and looked after by nice staff. The building seemed fairly new, and it's close to the city center, about a five-minute walk to alun alun. For a budget traveller, I'd recommend it. If you're after something quite luxurious, this isn't the place.

Really bad service. I waited over two hours for a response about my case, and the staff were slow and didn't communicate well. When they finally replied, it wasn't relevant to what I'd asked. What the heck?
