Kandaga Guest House By Oyo Room

After my seminar ended, I just wanted to get some rest. Instead, I spent time going in circles looking for a place to stay because the map pin was wrong and there were no lights. I finally found Kandaga Guest House, listed on OYO, after booking through Agoda. They told me they no longer worked with any booking app, and check-in was already at 12 o'clock. The Google contact showed the OYO CS number. When I asked about a refund, OYO told me to contact AGODA CS. Agoda then said they couldn't refund me because the check-in date had passed. How could I check in when they turned me away? Neither app took responsibility. tr*v*lok* is better in this kind of situation, since it immediately provides a replacement hotel when a hotel has a problem like this. This guest house's handling of it was outrageous.

I ended up having to move to another hotel. I'd booked through the app, but on the day they canceled and said all the rooms were full. The strange part is that the app still showed rooms available to book. The management was poor, and I'd say find somewhere else.

The place was still listed on Oyo even though they said they no longer worked with Oyo, and nobody offered a way to sort it out. The staff just said they couldn't help. Don't go here, I can't recommend it.

I only didn't give it one star because a receptionist kindly let me extend my time by a few hours. The rest was a mess: I booked in the app, but when I arrived they refused to accept it, saying they no longer worked with Oyo. Security told me I had to pay again offline, around 200 thousand. The hotel management wouldn't handle the money I'd already paid into Oyo and told me to call Oyo myself.
