The Victoria Luxurious Guest House

Access to the key card gets blocked by reception at 11 am because they consider that checkout time, but they don't tell you when you check in. I had to go back up to reception to get into my room again. The lobby has much more Victorian charm than the rooms, which also feel less clean and spacious. The room cleanliness is a concern, as are the worn-out towels, curtains, and bedspread.

The room was spacious, and the extra-fancy seat gave it a bit of luxury, but several things didn't work well. The TV was disappointingly small, the fridge and sink leaked, and the AC struggled to cool the room. The walk-in closet felt especially unsettling, and the dim lighting came across as eerie. The Victorian style is distinctive, though the ornate decor and low light made the place feel a bit creepy to me, and that atmosphere won't suit everyone. It's a unique stay with room to improve on amenities and maintenance. If you don't mind the quirky feel and can overlook some issues, it might work for you.

We spent two nights here, first in a room with a balcony and then in one without. The service was good, and we liked the hotel's ambience overall, though the building seems old. There was no hot water in the toilet on the second day.

The lobby is a great place to take photos, it feels like a vintage library. The guest house uses vintage decor throughout and has lots of photo spots. It's comfortable, and the price is affordable. I thought the breakfast food was good. Sadly, there isn't a swimming pool.
