OYO 91695 Hotel Benteng Portugis

👍

Management was poor.

At first I felt comfortable here, but then the owner's bad side came out. The place is filthy, the owner is infested with lice, and debt collectors often show up and make you feel uncomfortable. The door is often locked when they're out buying water. They also fight with their children and husband a lot, though I don't know what the issue is. The hotel feels like a house of orange. Just try it yourself.

I visited in April 2023. The photos and the actual place were 100% different. The water was dirty, the mattress looked like someone had peed on it, the walls were damaged, and it wasn't clean. I only needed somewhere to rest overnight, from evening until dawn, while in transit, but the atmosphere was so uncomfortable that I ended up moving to a friend's boarding house. They also seemed to dodge app bookings, saying they no longer accepted OYO or Agoda because those apps hurt the accommodation. That doesn't make sense. It felt like a way to raise the price to three times what was shown in the app. If you're going to charge more, at least clean and renovate the place first.
