Hotel Vio Cimanuk Bandung

Manager, your receptionist needs retraining. We booked two rooms and asked for one single bed and one double bed, but both rooms had double beds. On top of that, there was a cigarette smell, even though we’d told them we would arrive very late. There was also a stray hair in the toilet. Very unsanitary.

We had to cancel our evening walk around Bandung because our room door wouldn’t lock. The receptionist came quickly, checked it, and confirmed the door and lock were faulty. Before that, we’d already waited over two hours for the AC to start working. The balcony helped a bit, but the room still felt hard to breathe in. Breakfast was mediocre. If you get stuck here, McDonald's or the street food stalls around the local square sound like better options. The staff were decent, though. We were using the hotel, not trying to make lifelong friends with them.

The air conditioning at Vio Hotel Cimanuk never cooled the room properly. Staff checked the freon several times, but nothing improved, and even my car’s AC worked better. I paid 725k, which didn’t feel justified by the service or amenities, even allowing for it being a budget hotel. Some basic standards should still be met. There was also a serious security problem: anyone could open my room door without a key or card. I had to take all my valuables with me whenever I left. I told the staff, but they couldn’t fix it. For a three-star hotel, my stay fell far below expectations, and the lack of a proper lock left my belongings at risk.

Comfy sleep, good vibes, and good service.
