The buffet breakfast was a real surprise, with tasty, well-prepared choices from local favorites to more familiar dishes. We stayed in a villa with airy, spacious bedrooms, a big living room for hanging out, and a nice back terrace and yard where we could have coffee in the cool mountain breeze. The whole property at Griya Persada Resort in Bandungan, Semarang, was much larger than we expected, with villa areas, gardens, and other facilities to explore. We didn’t have time to try everything. The weather was a refreshing change from the usual tropical heat, cool and crisp, even chilly. Griya Persada made for a spacious, relaxing getaway, and we hope to return with more time to see the resort.

The staff were friendly, and the hospitality stood out, especially the kind, attentive female Room Attendant. The setting is lush, quiet, and cool, with Rawa Pening in view from this four-star hotel on the foothills. Facilities are all within the resort, so guests can enjoy their stay without going out. The rooms have a modern Javanese style and were well cared for and clean, even when it was busy. One of Semarang’s most comfortable places to stay.

Breakfast was great, but the room was pretty awful. There were lots of stains on the sheets, and they clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. I also found a house lizard behind the TV as soon as I walked in. The shower barely put out any water and didn’t work well.

We’ve stayed in the deluxe, family, and premier rooms, and the premier option with a connecting door is our pick for a family trip. It doesn’t have a balcony, while the deluxe and family rooms do. Loved it! 💕

The room was clean and spacious, and the hospitality was great. It’s pretty much a one-stop staycation spot, with a kids’ playground, several restaurants at reasonable prices, a farming garden, a pool, and more. The breakfast had plenty of choices, but the food lacked flavor. Dinner from Rama Sinta Resto, on the other hand, was good. Still, this is a good place to stay when visiting Bandungan, and worth the price.
