Villa Selat

The host and staff were extraordinary, the rooms luxurious and comfortable, and the food delicious and healthy, some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s a peaceful place surrounded by nature. What a gem, I’m so lucky I found this little paradise on earth!

Ayu and the whole team looked after our group so well. They seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even knew ourselves, and their genuine hospitality made the trip unforgettable. We were eight people from Los Angeles on a yoga retreat, staying at Villa Selat in April 2017. The views from the villa and guest rooms were breathtaking, and each room had its own authentic Balinese artwork. Bali itself was wonderful, from the people and history to the food and landscape. The experience was even better than expected thanks to the staff and service led by Ayu, the manager. It was a magical visit, and I can’t recommend the place enough. I’m planning to return in a few months and see other parts of the island we missed in April. Thank you, Ayu, your family, and your team, for taking such good care of us. You should be proud. I’m a picky traveler, so it’s rare for me to call a place out of this world. The setting, design, food, service, and views are all sublime. I used to be a hotelier and work as a consultant, and I can’t see anything that needs improving. It’s always a pleasure to come back and receive such a warm welcome.
