Hotel Harum

For 150 thousand, I expected a basic room, but not one with cockroaches all over the bathroom. The sheets smelled, the door wouldn't shut, and the charger was wired to the light, so I had to choose between using the fan and charging my phone. I really hope they fix these things.

I needed somewhere to sleep before checking in at Sofyan Inn, which doesn't allow check-in until 2 p.m., so I came here at 4 a.m. The service was friendly. It cost 150,000 Rupiah for the night, with an en suite bathroom and a fan only. It's a budget hotel, so the upkeep is basic. For that price, don't expect it to be like a more expensive hotel.

Right behind Malioboro Street, so the location is handy, and the price is fairly low. It was reasonably clean, though the amenities are basic. There weren't any drinks in the room or breakfast. Even one sachet of coffee would have been enough. Still, the low price feels worth it.

Being so close to Malioboro is the best part, you can walk there. The room itself was just okay for 130k. It only had a fan, no AC, and the mattress wasn't a spring bed, so it wasn't soft. The blanket was thin, and the bathroom door wouldn't close.
