We had to push to get the room we had booked. It seems to be a bad habit with Red Doorz to put you in the cheapest room even when you've reserved something more expensive, then say the booked rooms aren't available despite the confirmation. Here, we showed pictures as proof and eventually got our room. It was spacious and comfortable. The place is down a small alley, directly opposite a mosque, with loudspeakers right by the bedroom. The calls start at 6 am and happen four times a day. Hardly what foreign visitors are hoping to hear on vacation. They seem not to have heard of noise pollution. Each time, the sound scared me to death. Avoid this if a good night's sleep matters to you.

It's an affordable place to sleep, and the room and bed were comfortable enough. The AC was cold, and the receptionist and caretaker were really nice. The location is tricky, though. A lot of drivers don't know how to find it.

They took my money and wouldn't let me stay because they asked for marriage papers. Nobody brings marriage papers on vacation. I had already paid, but they still wouldn't let us stay and kept the money. SCAM, ROBBERY, DON'T GO THERE.

There were cockroaches and ants, and the photos didn't match reality at all. The bed had no sheet to cover yourself with. Calls from the mosque came through very loudly, even during the night, probably from a speaker in the corridor. I tried two rooms and found the same problems in both. If I could give zero, I would. Just avoid it.

The room was nice and newly renovated. The water flow was great, hot and cold, and all the staff were nice. Thanks.
