Rumah Roso Homestay

The location is really central, and I plan to stay here again. Last year I paid 68k for a room for two and was surprised by how comfortable and clean it was. Breakfast was included for the three days I stayed, with rice and a decent amount of food. The shared bathrooms had hot water, and there was a back common area plus a porch and garden for smokers. The shared kitchen could be used around the clock. I checked again and the rate is now 20k higher than last year, but I still think it's worth it.

I arrived at 11 pm and check-in was easy. The room was clean and the AC worked well. I liked the room decor and living room a lot; it felt like being in our family home. I had a good experience during my one-night stay.

The place was noisy, poorly maintained, and dirty, with lots of bugs. The facilities generally felt old and the bed was uncomfortable. The toilet didn't work, so we had to use a basin, though apparently that's typical in Java. The receptionist didn't speak English, so any questions needed a translator. There was nothing nearby. We only booked it as a stopover, but honestly, we've stayed in better places in Java for the same price.

The price was extremely reasonable, the employees were very kind, and the atmosphere was nice. Our room was small and had no window, though it did have AC. Breakfast was very average, and there was only one toilet for all the guests.
