In Balance Resort

We spent four nights here and would love to return someday. Esther and the lovely staff looked after us so well, arranging daily activities and serving fantastic meals. The resort itself is stunning, in a beautiful part of Bali. Our room was right by the beach and pool, clean and tidy, and the outdoor bathroom was a real highlight. We also fell for Snobby the pug.

We didn't get to meet the owners while they were away, but Esther welcomed us warmly and went above and beyond. She got medication for my girlfriend and brought it to our door within ten minutes of us asking. The team and chefs were just as hospitable, and made us a lovely seafood dinner on our patio on our last night. Our room was very clean, with a super-comfy bed. A perfect escape from the busy, chaotic south. Highly recommend!

The photos really don't show how wonderful this place is. We loved our stay in the gorgeous villa by the beach and pool, especially the bedroom and open-air bathroom. Paul was so sweet, drove us into the city one evening, and found medicine for me when I got sick. We adored his pug and befriended a cute pregnant feral cat, too. The one change we'd make is having more vegetarian and vegan choices on the hotel restaurant menu. ❤️

We stayed four nights and I honestly can't fault the place. It's right on a quiet beachfront, with sunrise just 20m from our front door each morning. The room felt almost new, was beautifully decorated and spotless, with plenty of space and a comfortable bed and pillows. Dewi and Paul have clearly put a lot of thought into the place. The gardens were lovely and well kept, and the infinity pool looks out to the ocean. We lounged there watching local fishermen, and the sun lounges were classy and comfy. Everyone on staff was lovely and handled requests with a smile. The food was excellent and portions generous. Kadek, the lovely cook, could source what you wanted at the local market with some notice and prepare it. I had grilled seafood every day. It's a little outside central Lovina, but they offer a free shuttle in a modern minivan. Send a quick message and they're on their way. I'll definitely be back.
