I’m from Dubai, and this is my third time staying at this hotel because it’s the only so-called four-star hotel in the city. I come here every three months since I got married in this city, and my wife comes to see her family. On my first stay, I had to look at several rooms before finding one that was clean and didn’t have mold in the bathroom. The food was bad, too. The second time was the same story, and there was hair in the food. We complained, and the manager said it would be sorted out. This third time, the bathroom was still dirty, the bedsheet was torn, and the food was cold and very bad. My mother-in-law lives only 10 minutes away, but I still choose the hotel because it’s what I’m used to in Dubai. I booked it because it was rated four stars. Money isn’t an issue, and I’d book somewhere five-star if there were one. The service here doesn’t measure up even to a one-star hotel. Foreigners should think twice before staying here. I’ve complained several times over the last two years, and nothing has changed. The front desk is the face of the hotel, but the staff there can’t even speak English, which is a second language around the world. A four-star hotel should at least have someone who speaks it. Don’t waste your time, look elsewhere. I’ve attached photos and videos for reference so you can see for yourself.

The breakfast spread had lots of options, and the room was spacious, clean, and modern, with a balcony and a smart TV that had Netflix and other streaming services. I also felt welcome from the moment I arrived, thanks to the outstanding service. It was a very comfortable place to unwind.

The staff were attentive, professional, and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile. Fox Harris Hotel Banjarnegara is in a great central spot, and we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended, and thanks to the team.

The restaurant never explained the price details or apologized when I questioned the bill. They insisted the charge was right because I’d agreed to the total, even though they had only sent a lump sum through chat with no breakdown, and I’d trusted their calculation. I came for a group iftar with two children under six. The terms clearly said children under six were free, up to three per reservation, so I didn’t expect an extra charge for them. We were charged anyway. This felt misleading and lacking in transparency. I don’t recommend it.

The massage was a nice surprise. I tried it to relax, and it left me feeling refreshed and at ease. I also slept really well: the atmosphere was pleasant, and everything felt clean, cozy, and comfortable. There was a wide range of food at the restaurant, and the several dishes I tried were all delicious. I left feeling very satisfied with my stay 😊
