Surya Yudha Hotel

I was able to check in early without asking or giving advance notice, which was nice. The executive room I booked was decent. Breakfast was disappointing. They had run out of fresh juice, and wouldn’t refill it when I asked. The pool floor is slippery, and the tiles seem unsuitable for it. That’s dangerous.

I’m not usually a fan of hotel food, but the traditional dishes here were tasty. They also had various tourist promotions, and the easy access and good offers make this a suitable place for a family stay. I stayed in one of the brand new rooms. It was clean and, pleasantly surprisingly, spacious for a twin room.

The hotel is near the city of Benjanagra, but some of the facilities feel old. There’s one pool with warm water, while the others are cold, and the gym isn’t maintained. The family room’s soundproofing is a serious problem. An event with loud music went on until late at night, and we couldn’t rest until it ended.

There’s plenty to do here: a water park, jacuzzi and spa, futsal, billiards, photo backdrops made to look like places around the world, a movie theater, a small zoo, mini market and children’s playground. It’s a big amusement park with a hotel, and staying overnight makes it easier to enjoy all the facilities. The hotel’s rooftop pool is cleaner and more reliable, with a hot tub, a deep pool and a children’s pool. Cleanliness needs work, especially in the rooms, bathrooms, corridors between rooms and swimming pool. Several water park features are heavily worn from use and exposure to the weather, and need replacing.
