What made our stay unforgettable was Ngurah and his girlfriend, Jovita. They run Yoga Homestay with so much kindness. When my friend and I mentioned wanting to see Banyumala Twin Waterfalls and canoe on a nearby lake, Ngurah planned it, drove us himself, and guided us. He also arranged for a friendly guy down the street to do our laundry in between. Jovita later invited us to dinner. We watched the sunset from the second-floor breakfast area, sharing delicious food and great conversation. It was one of those moments when everything slows down and you feel right where you belong. We stayed in mid-February, away from the busy tourist areas like Kuta, Canggu, and Ubud. Our simple, clean rooms were incredibly affordable, and the second-floor balcony opened to rice terraces, distant mountains, birds in the sky, and happy little dogs running along the paths. Roosters called during the day, and sometimes we heard the call to prayer from the mosque down the way. It felt like a dream. For a peaceful Bali stay close to nature, Yoga Homestay in Banyuatis is a special experience we’ll always remember.

I really wanted to stay here and had already spent four days there, but after a long trip I was too tired to move. The room and bathroom were dirty, and the bed had a musty smell. The linen itself was clean, but everything smelled terribly of mold. I don’t recommend it. If you’re going to Munduk, Wangiri would be a better place to stay.

It’s a very quiet place, great for switching off, and the hosts are great. The beds are comfortable, the shower is good, the Wi-Fi works well, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was okay. You’ll need transport because it’s a little out of the way, though that adds to its appeal. Restaurants aren’t far off. I was very happy here and would stay again.

The setting is amazing, right among the rice fields, and I loved having breakfast and dinner with that view every day. The food was really good, the staff were lovely, and the room and bathroom were clean. Yoga Homestay in Munduk was the best place I’ve stayed so far while traveling in Indonesia. I really recommend it!

We felt at home right away thanks to our super friendly host. The beds were cozy, and our bathroom was one of the best we’ve had in Bali so far. We stayed three nights and will definitely come back. Ibu Jeru’s local tour through the rice fields and to the local coffee farmer is well worth asking about. You should also ask her for Dadar Gulung, green pancakes with grated coconut and palm sugar. They’re so delicious, and maybe she’ll show you how to make them. Terima kasi from Germany!
