Rats in my room and very poor service. Worst hotel ever. Don’t choose this hotel if you’re going to kawah Ijen!

The owners were really friendly and did their best to help us. Our room was clean, and breakfast was okay. The problem was the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms. The fan couldn’t keep the room cool enough for a good night’s rest.

I can’t really comment on the place or its service, since it seemed fine. But I wouldn’t trust the booking after mine was cancelled at 6:30pm on the day I was due to arrive. I then had to spend half an hour finding somewhere else and paid twice as much because it was so last minute.

The owner was very friendly, and the price was way affordable for a low-budget traveler like me. I stayed in a spacious second-floor deluxe room with a neat bathroom, though the hot shower stopped working at certain hours and they didn’t provide some bathroom amenities. Tea and coffee were free, but you had to go to the 'canteen' by the small garden on the ground floor to get them. Since there’s no dining area, they brought breakfast to the room.
