The rooms were comfortable and nicely furnished, and the amenities felt newer and more modern than those at other nearby hotels. We were also close to the harbor and malls. Service was warm and polite from the front desk through to housekeeping. When we mentioned a birthday, they brought us a cake. Had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it.

Breakfast was good, and both the staff and security were friendly. At check-in I was upgraded to a family suite, with a great view and superb room facilities. The morning and night markets are nearby, and Nagoya Central is about a five-minute ride away. I enjoyed my stay and would consider coming back to Batam.

The hotel’s location is a big plus, just a short drive from Harbour Bay and Nagoya. We spent two nights in a spacious two-bedroom apartment that was mostly clean, though the kitchen wasn’t. The water dispenser had hot, room-temperature, and cold water, which came in handy. The Indonesian dishes at breakfast were especially good, and the buffet was decent, but most of the menu repeated on both mornings. Some things felt old: the lifts were slow, chairs stained, floors cracked, cupboard doors didn’t slide smoothly, and rainwater leaked into the room. A microwave would have been useful too.

I booked a Batam Tour through the Fave app, and Allium Hotel was one of the places to stay. The service was very good. I mentioned before going out for a walk that the pool wasn’t working. When I got back three hours later, it had been fixed. The hotel was very clean, and the buffet breakfast was included. It’s a four-star hotel and I’d recommend staying here.
