The staff did compensate for some of the problems, but after ten days here I’d tell people to look at other options, especially for the gym, pool, and spa. I’d heard rumors about upgrades and renovations in the future, so hopefully something gets done. I was in large suite 712. The door lock wouldn’t open properly, and staff couldn’t fix it. The fridge failed and was replaced with a used one that worked; then the TV broke and was also swapped for a used one. The kitchen was missing most essentials, and what was there was worn out and dirty. We got two large towels, but small hand towels cost extra. The AC was noisy, the inventory was very dated, and the room reminded me of a set from an old American TV series from the 70’s-80’s. The bathroom was old and outdated, the water smelled bad, and the cleaning was poor enough that I’d bring my own supplies. The room also smelled like my grandmother’s old house. Breakfast had a good selection for Asian guests, but wasn’t so great for westerners.

There’s a kitchenette in the room, and each floor has a water dispenser with hot water, so there’s no need to boil your own. The shower heats up quickly, which was a nice plus. My room was very quiet even though it faced the main road. Staff were consistently smiling, friendly, helpful, and polite. The hotel has a vintage feel, having been around since the early 2000s, but I found it comfortable. It’s also handy for a nearby convenience store, food stalls, and Nagoya shopping center.

The best reasons to stay here are the central location and nearby food options. Water dispensers on every floor seem like a more environmentally friendly idea, so kudos for that. The gym is outside, has limited equipment, and although it looks new, the heat is rough. I was sweating after a 30-minute workout. The pool seemed sussy to me. I’m not sure if it was just the floor color, but I wouldn’t venture in for a dive. Decent hotel at best.

The old-but-goldie feel of the hotel made us feel at home, and the breakfast spread was super good. I especially loved the really tasty bubur ayam. The staff were welcoming, especially the restaurant staff. Shoutout to ms Anggi and Meyta for going the extra mile, and thanks for such excellent service. I really enjoyed my stay, definitely recommend the hotel, and will come back soon.

I’ll definitely come back. The staff everywhere were friendly and helpful, there’s enough parking, and malls are nearby. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Shoutout to RANDI for superb customer service! ❤️
