7SEAS Cottages

The ocean views and location were the best parts for me. It was a lovely place to unwind, especially at sunset, and being close to the beach made getting around easy. The atmosphere had that relaxed island feel Gili Air is known for. 7SEAS Cottages felt like good value for the price. The property and rooms are older and not very modern, but that seemed fair for what we paid. The staff were friendly and it was clean enough. It feels laid-back and authentic rather than like a luxury resort. If you’re after a reasonably priced stay in a great spot with ocean views, it’s worth considering. Someone expecting a brand-new five-star hotel may not find that here.

There are two pools guests can use, and the staff were super friendly. The location is perfect, and it’s great value for money. The rooms are dated but very clean, and they’re busy renovating. Our room was big enough for our four-day stay, with a nice-sized balcony and bathroom, and everything we needed. I’d come back.

I enjoyed the stay so much that I extended it. While exploring Gili Air, this was a great base: the room was clean, comfortable, and quiet at night, and the location was convenient for walking everywhere while still being peaceful. The staff deserve a mention. They were genuinely friendly and helpful, especially for someone traveling solo, and made me feel welcome, safe, and well cared for. Breakfast was good, the atmosphere relaxed, and everything seemed handled with care. Highly recommended.

The staff were pleasant, and the harbour location is great. That was about the only upside for me. Intrepid travel company chose this accommodation, most likely because it’s cheap, but there were problems with WiFi, electricity, and water. I’m pretty sure this is where I got bed bug bites. Breakfast service was quite slow and the coffee machine was broken. The place looked tatty and uncared for, and it was the worst accommodation of my four-week trip in Indonesia.
