After travelling to 30 countries, this was my worst experience. Our room wasn’t cleaned once during the four days. There were termites everywhere and wood dust all over our clothes, plus dirt, spider webs, dusty mosquito nets, dirty curtains, depressing lighting and algae across the bathroom floor. Look at the pictures. I don’t understand how this place has 4.4 stars. This isn’t about it being cheap. Basic decency would be to spend an hour each month spraying for termites and clearing the webs and algae. I might have left it there, but then my girlfriend had to wash her hair in the basin because the shower had no water for six hours. The flush also started leaking.

We had a lovely stay at Diyu! The room was clean and fine, and the pool was nice. The family looking after the bungalows were VERY FRIENDLY and helpful, we loved them! It’s really close to the beach for watching the sunset. We loved Diyu.

A nice spot for a few nights, with friendly staff and a friendly cat. The bathroom is outside, so expect the possibility of showering alongside creepy crawlies. There’s a psytrance bar next door playing cool music.

The room was spacious and the pool was nice, and the price was cheap. There were lots of mosquitoes indoors, though, and the Wi-Fi was poor. The bathroom roof isn’t proper, which is pleasant in sunny weather, but when it rains you get soaked.

We tried to get a room, but none were ready. One of them smelled particularly bad, and the prices seemed very arbitrary. We ended up staying next door at Gili Ku instead, and it was much better.
