The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel is a few streets from the main shopping area. It's a no-frills place with a bed and a toilet with heated water. My room had a strong cigarette smell, and the thin doors let corridor noise in when people walked by. Breakfast was basic: three carbs, boiled eggs, dessert, coffee, and tea.

The room was quiet at night, and the mattress was comfortable for me. TV and WiFi signals were good, and the shower and basin had good water pressure. The standard room space was acceptable, though some might find it small, and having a window was a bonus. There was no wardrobe, just a few clothes hangers. The bathroom has no shower curtain, so the whole area gets wet after a shower. It's a good location for walking to nagoya hill mall and places to eat. Within five minutes are late-night spots that are supposedly open 24 hours, including warkop agem medan and jeumpakupi Aceh, handy for supper without taking a taxi.

The doors seemed to slam a lot, and although the service was polite and friendly, it was a bit slow. I had to ask twice for everything. The towels were clean but smelled a little. On the plus side, the rooms were clean and functional, and the price is affordable. It's easy to stroll to Nagoya Mall and the Ferry Terminal, with plenty of decent places to eat nearby. It works for a budget stay.

We'd clearly told the hotel through WhatsApp and email that we'd arrive around 8pm, but they still released all three rooms. They said their policy is to release rooms after 6pm if guests haven't arrived by then. We'd booked more than three weeks earlier, but money talks, unfortunately. Extremely disappointed.
