Marina Sentosa Hotel Batam

Breakfast was OK, which was about the only bright spot. I stayed one night for a holiday, and our group had booked six rooms. We ran into water problems, and towels were missing from a few rooms. The closets looked dirty, the rooms were awful, the AC didn’t cool properly, and the telephone didn’t work. Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. If it’s your first time visiting Batam, I’d strongly suggest booking somewhere else.

The staff were helpful and breakfast was the one decent part of my stay. The hotel feels old-fashioned, and there was no toothbrush or toothpaste. The toilet also wouldn’t flush properly. If you’re not fussy, you might be able to stay here.

The food was great, and the people were great too. The staff gave us a friendly, warm welcome and were really helpful. A top place for a party.

Good value for a cheap stay, though there’s no minibar in the room. It’s a 2-star hotel.
