The hotel is old and could do with a refurbishment. The carpet felt sticky, and the plumbing wasn't very efficient. I was on the sixth floor, but a night or two was manageable. Credit to the whole front-line team, from the counter staff and room cleaners to security. They really know how to serve people with a smile.

Some friends who visited called the place creepy, but I actually like it and will be back. My rooms had yellow walls and very dated dark brown furniture, though they were spacious, everything worked, and all the fittings were there. The showers had hot water, which matters at this price, and the staff were nice. Nagoya Central shopping center is just a stone's throw away. Karen’s would be horrified, but that's their problem.

The beds were the main downside. The mattresses were old and sagging, and the sheets were worn and stained. When we asked questions, the receptionists seemed unsure how to respond, maybe they didn't understand our accents. The room was reasonably okay for what we paid. Nagoya shopping mall is very close, so catching a late movie is easy, and there's a cheap salon in the lobby for simple, no-fuss haircuts.

Stayed with my wife on 27-28 Oct 18. It's quite a rundown hotel, but the staff were extremely friendly and Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre is just a stone's throw away. The breakfast selection was reasonable, and we had a good stay.

The rooms are tolerable, and you pretty much get what you pay for. Housekeeping gave good service and greeted us whenever we passed. Breakfast was okay, though there wasn't much choice. Nagoya Hill is about a five-minute walk away.
