Nongsa Village

The location and ambience feel exclusive, and people who love nature may enjoy it. But our holiday turned into a stretch of stress and worry instead of a relaxing stay. I'd avoid Villa D74, where my family stayed. This resort also doesn't seem suited to elderly guests or young children. If you want the full experience, book directly through the resort. I made the mistake of using a third-party app, then found out some villas are individually owned and rented out. For anything we needed at the villa, we had to contact the owner and wait for them to arrange it. I found that inefficient and frustrating, and the owners need to be more responsive. I had communication issues throughout. The bedding in the downstairs room was in seriously bad shape, with rips, and hurt my back. Its air conditioner was very noisy and started leaking on our third day. The upstairs toilet clogged that same day. I messaged the owner in the morning and only got a reply in the afternoon. A technician cleared the blockage, but it clogged again that night. I didn't know what else to do, so I had to take my elderly family members downstairs in the middle of the night to use the other toilet. Being near nature means insects are common, but be aware that between 6pm and 7pm swarms of mosquitoes came in and attacked anyone exposed. It was scary, and my elderly mum was badly bitten. That night I had to buy repellents, ointments, creams and an electric bat. Neither the owner nor anyone else warned us. All the villas have buggies that need to be rented. I paid 800K rupiah (SGD$60) for two days, but the buggy wasn't charging. Even after being plugged in overnight, its battery showed only 1 bar the next morning. I messaged the owner and got a later reply, so I couldn't use the buggy until late afternoon on the first day I rented it. Even basic utensils hadn't been checked. The scissors didn't work.

The villas are peaceful, and you can barely hear anything from the others. The rooms are spacious, but showing their age, and they may trap mosquitoes. It's quite far from the city, and better suited to a retreat than a family with children. We were reminded to keep the noise down at the pool.

At Taman Nongsa Indah Village, our rooms were clean and well-kept, and the staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The location was peaceful and still easy to reach. We had a wonderful stay, definitely a great experience!

We had everything we needed in the four-bedroom house, and it was a lovely, peaceful place to get away. Housekeeping would have been a welcome addition.
