Bata Merah

We came for a farewell trip with eight friends, rented two tents, and had a lovely barbecue night. It’s actually a small B&B guest house, but the concept is really interesting, and we loved the place and its hospitality. I left one of my belongings behind, and they helped mail it to me without charging anything. Excellent service!

We were happy with our stay and will come back. Bata Merah is a cheap guest house in a convenient spot near Batu attractions, with a good view. The room was small but clean, and the receptionist was very kind. Breakfast tasted quite good, whether served in the room or at the restaurant. Thank you.

There’s a cafe on the second floor with a lovely mountain view, handy if you want food at night. The rooms are very cheap, and there are several types, including themed wood or red brick rooms and outdoor tent rooms that can sleep up to six people. A cozy, unusual place to stay, and one worth trying if you’re traveling on a low budget.

Set on higher ground, this cozy place is good for a quick getaway, with fresh air and good food. The room was tidy. I recommend the Nasi Paru, Nasi Goreng, and Spagetti.
