The military-style closets and parking area, which looks like it's for equipment and service vehicles, give the place a distinctive feel. I was quite satisfied and might consider staying here again next time. After the long drive from Pangandaran to Batu City, this quiet, comfortable and safe hotel inside the Pusdik Arhanud (Air Defense Education Center) compound was a welcome find. The room was spacious and clean, as you'd expect from a building maintained by the Indonesian National Armed Forces. The sheets had no smell, and the pillowcases and towels were clean too. Hot water ran, and Wi-Fi was free with no password needed. At 200,000 Rupiah, the price was affordable for a room the size of a deluxe hotel room.

The garden is right outside the room, while parking is tucked behind it in a quiet spot. There's also a seating area in the room, and the bedroom and bathroom are separate. My stay was peaceful and comfortable, in the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) area, about halfway between Malang and Batu. The room was spacious and the price very affordable, so it felt homey. It had two soft, clean beds that worked well for a child and parents. Though I checked in with two people, I received four towels and four water bottles. The bathroom was roomy, with hot water. Swimming is possible, but I couldn't use the pool during my overnight stay because it was being used for a competition. I think I'll come back.

The service was very friendly, and Gatsu Resort's good rating seems deserved based on my stay. The room was clean and great, and even had a bolster 😍. I saw the perfect reviews and found them to be true. The athlete-capacity pool area was free to use, though I didn't get to swim because it often rained and there's no laundry room.
