The lift needs servicing. It detects an overweight load even with three people in it.

The adult pool is on the small side, though still usable, while the larger pool is really for kids and they love it. The hotel was clean. It’s about half an hour from the main attractions in Batu, and the Wi-Fi can be patchy in rooms at either end of the building. Hot water took a long time to come through.

Breakfast was very basic and not particularly good. The window in my room was broken and had to be fixed at Evington because the nights were quite cold. Getting a warm shower took about 15 minutes. Indonesian guests seemed not to mind this, as they hardly ever complained. I didn’t find the hotel pleasant.

The rooms are spacious, which is a plus. But some smelled unbearably bad, the shower head was clogged, and some rooms had no air conditioning.

The restaurant food was delicious, and my room was clean. There’s also a pool and a playground. Alun-Alun Kota baru is fairly close, about a 10-minute drive.
