RedDoorz Near Museum Angkut Batu 2

There were 13 of us, staying for one night on 17th Feb 2019. The price was a bargain, Rp150, 000 on weekdays and rp200,000 on weekends, and the staff member was kind and helpful, which I appreciated. Still, the stay was only so-so. The ad showed spotless linen, but the sheets hadn't been changed, so we asked the staff to replace them. My toilet had no seat. The staff knew it was broken by the previous tenant and had removed it, but only said so after I came downstairs again to ask for another room or a new seat. The place was fully booked, so he put the broken seat back instead. The hot water also didn't work well. Our guide said there were restaurants or food stalls nearby. When we asked the staff, though, he said there was no food within walking distance. In the morning, there was a nearby stall selling lots of kuih for breakfast.

We were in town for 12 hours and stayed here. The room was tidy and the price fairly cheap. It's not too far from Batu town centre, about a 20 minute walk to Alun-alun kota Batu. The downsides were a missing toilet seat, a broken shower head, no liquid soap in the dispenser, and disorganized parking. We planned to leave by car in the morning, but a customer's car was blocking the front gate. Nobody could drive out without moving it. We called reception, but they didn't know who owned the car. I think the hotel staff should hold the keys for any car left at the gate so they can manage the parking. It seems suitable for backpackers, solo travelers, and young couples.

It's in a nice location and has 13 rooms with plenty of space. For a room under 150k, it's okay, but there's no Wi-Fi, and although there's a TV, it has no channels. The hot water took a little while to come through.

There wasn't a shower or the hot water you'd normally expect in a bathroom. Drinking water wasn't provided either, unless you bought a 600 ml bottle for 5k.
