Riverstone Hotel and Cottage

We had a really cozy stay here, even with the family. The cottage room was big, around 25 square meters, and the bed was large enough for two adults and two kids to sleep together. Hot water was available and clean, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast tasted good, with a different menu each of the three mornings we stayed, even though there wasn't much choice. We'd come back.

The staff were consistently hospitable, and breakfast had plenty to choose from: toast and jam, omelette, rice, vegetables, some chicken porridge, fruit and puddings, with tea, coffee and juice. We were upgraded last time to a cottage room, with its own parking space. The rooms are named after natural stones, and parking is available for the other room types too. It seems well suited to business stays or families with kids. Our room had WiFi, air conditioning, a clean shower and toilet with full amenities, and a flat 30-inch TV with lots of channels. The cottage was especially comfy, with two chairs and a table outside the front. Happy sleep, happy tummy. Thanks for welcoming us so warmly. Hope we can stay again.

It was okay overall, but it'd be more convenient if hotel staff or security helped arrange the vehicles. When other guests' cars are parked like this, it's hard for us to carry our suitcases.

The cottages are spread out, so it takes staff extra effort to reach you when you need something, though they are friendly. The WiFi is poor, but breakfast is very good. It's a clean, quaint and homey place in Batu at an affordable price, and a pretty good option for staying with family.
