The drinks were decent, with mineral and infused water, juice, milk, coffee, and tea. I came for the 2025 Ramadan breakfast buffet, priced at 130k per person. There were plenty of sides, including fried snacks, tofu and tempeh, noodles, capcay, cakes, bread, and fruit, plus chicken porridge and soto. But meat choices like chicken, beef, and fish were limited, and the meal felt too expensive to me. Other hotel buffets at that price offer more meat options. Indonesians usually want rice with a substantial meat dish, rather than bread and cake. I hope the hotel's service can improve.

Miss Novi at reception was professional, and her warm smile made me feel at home. I stayed at Ebony Hotel for two days and really enjoyed it. The staff were lovely, and housekeeping kept everything super clean. I'd recommend Ebony Hotel to anyone traveling to South Kalimantan.

The shower drain was clogged, though I only stayed one night and didn't ask them to fix it. Also, the nearby mosque's loudspeaker prayer call woke me between 4 and 4:30 every morning. Aside from those issues, this is the best hotel in the city. It's clean and doesn't have the smell you find in some other local hotels, the rooms are comfortable, and service is good. The listed rate is extremely expensive, but booking online makes the price reasonable.
