Queen Garden Hotel

We’d stay here again if we came this way. The setting feels natural for such a big hotel, with nice pools, and the staff were courteous, friendly, and helpful. There are ants in lots of places, though, including the sink, balcony, and room corners. There’s no AC because nights are cool, but rooms might get warm during the day if the temperature rises. A few things could be improved. The bathrooms are gloomy around the showers, so another light would help. The hot tap should be on the left, but in my room it was on the left in the shower and on the right at the sink. The bathtubs need more maintenance than showers, so I’d replace them. Windows that open would let in fresh air instead of having a solid glass wall, and could keep the room from getting too hot during the day while still closing it up at night.

The hotel looks spooky from outside and seems really old, but inside the lobby is big and you can see the hills from the aisle. The hotel and room are both spacious. There’s no elevator, which made things difficult for us with toddlers and elderly people. The pool view was just so-so at noon and at night. In the morning, though, the mountain appeared right in front of us, with no fog, when we opened the curtains or balcony door. Wonderful view. The room was tidy and large, but it had no AC, so it was hot and we had to leave the balcony door open all the time, even at night, to get air. Breakfast didn’t have many options, and they charged 40K even for a 4-year-old child. Only one pool was available to use. The hotel was okay overall, and it’s near many tourist attractions and cafes.

The atmosphere was tranquil and really nice for a family stay, and the staff were helpful and friendly. They had plenty of rooms available when we visited, so there was no need to reserve. Room choices were Deluxe, Superior, Standard, and Economy, with differences in floor type and view. The rooms use an electronic card. There’s a swimming pool, a children’s playground, and WiFi, though the signal wasn’t very good. Check-in is at 1pm and checkout at 12pm. Breakfast doesn’t have much variety, but the basics were there: bread, eggs, rice, chicken and other protein, stir-fried vegetables, fruit, coffee, and tea.

The mountain view is great, and the service was good. The room was clean and the bed fairly comfortable, but the shower had no hot water.
