The Dewi Bedugul

The lake view was beautiful, and the other staff were nice and really helpful. Breakfast was good too, but the plate was dirty and the spoon looked unwashed. There’s a good restaurant and strawberry field nearby, which was lucky for us. I was disappointed by the room. The area was muddy, with puddles that looked gross and smelled bad, very different from the picture they gave me. The tent got extremely hot between about 10 am and 4 pm, so it was better to sit outside in the shade. The front office staff could use more training in handling guests, communication, and hospitality. We booked three rooms for my son's birthday, and my family felt the same way.

The view was great, but during our two nights the stay felt disappointing. The room was small and cramped for a family, and the bathroom smelled bad and hadn't been cleaned properly. The vanity was nearly broken, leaking, and had mold. The sheets and curtains also looked dirty, which made the room uncomfortable. Breakfast came with the stay, but the food looked so unappealing that I didn't want to eat it. The cleanliness and upkeep issues really brought the experience down.

We had a wonderful night at The Dewi with our family. The rooms were nice, the view was great, breakfast was good, and the staff were very helpful. I'd happily return, as we really enjoyed it. A couple of things to keep in mind: evenings and nights can get cold, so bring warm clothes. I booked directly with The Dewi, while some relatives used a third-party app and paid 25% less, so it may be worth comparing prices.

For a peaceful highlands getaway with a bit of fun, The Dewi Bedugul is a great choice. The glamping has a warm, homely feel, and you get a direct view of Lake Beratan. It’s a lovely way to leave the heat of Southern Bali behind for fresh mountain air and beautiful lake scenery. The whole place has that “Staycation In The Clouds” feeling.
