The room was quite large, but it really only worked as a place to nap. There’s no TV, hot water or sanitary supplies, unlike at other hotels. I booked through an app and spent almost an hour getting lost and circling the block before I found the entrance. The nearest gates close after 11 PM, so if you don’t know the area, try to arrive before 9 PM while most gates are still open. It’s a huge boarding house inside a housing complex that’s been made into a hotel.

Awful stay. The room looked nothing like the pictures, and the room I’d booked had a different number from the one they gave us. The room itself was narrow, with a narrow, noisy mattress. The bathroom, cloth, mattress and pillows were all dirty and smelled bad. There was no TV, the WiFi was slow, and the bathroom had neither hot nor cold water. We were told to climb very steep, scary stairs, and the guard wasn’t friendly. We also paid 10,000 IDR for the motorcycle.

It was uncomfortable and expensive for what it was. The staff were unfriendly too. That was my experience staying there.

Is the boarding house free, and can you rent it for a day or two?
