Metland Hotel Bekasi

The interior doors are practical and consistent throughout, while still serving the different needs of each room. It feels like the layout was planned thoughtfully, unlike the one-size-fits-all approach many contractors seem to use these days.

At 1 AM, reception called to say the system had cancelled my credit card. Before arriving and again at check-in, I'd asked several times and was told my booking was paid. They didn't seem to care that guests might be trying to rest, and insisted I come down to settle the bill. I asked them to wait until morning because calling someone at that hour over a bill was so disruptive, but the whole thing was disgusting and unprofessional. This is the worst hotel ever. I'll never stay here again, and I'll tell everyone I know not to stay at this rough hotel.

The hotel was generally clean, but the rooms had unpleasant smells. The first smelled like cigarettes, and the second had a glue odor from renovation work. The staff did everything they could to help.

The location is easy to find and close to just about anything you might need. There are nearby places to eat, from KFC to local warteg, plus a supermarket right across from the hotel. My room was neat, and the service was so-so, but the hotel overall didn't feel very clean. I saw trash in the hallway to my room, and the cleaning crew hadn't picked it up by the next day, when there was even more. I paid Rp. 300,000,- per night for a room with one king bed and no breakfast. There was no deposit at check-in, but they held some money from my credit card when I booked online and returned it a few days after checkout.
