The one clear plus was the location, just a one-minute walk across the road to Tanjung Pandan beach. The hotel’s service overall was poor. WiFi was very weak, especially in the room, and the air-conditioning was bad throughout the hotel, particularly in the lobby. The room A/C didn’t cool properly, and one unit leaked water until we had to call a mechanic. Our booking mentioned a twin room with sea view, but reception said twin rooms don’t have a sea-view option. We took a deluxe double instead. It was a good size, though the bathroom door was slightly broken, and the sea view we were told about was fully blocked by trees. Breakfast was very limited. At the live-cooking section, the cook was absent for around 10 minutes, and we had to notify staff several times before they came. Pool service was the worst: we waited and asked four or five times just to get a few towels.

I loved the place. The beach is right in front, and the room was clean with a nice shower. Breakfast and service were good, too. You can rent a car or bicycle here, and they’ll let you check in early if a room is available. If not, you can leave your luggage there.

If you’re on a budget, this is a decent place to stay. The location is the main plus, but for just another 100k a night you could get a better hotel in Belitung, about a 10-minute drive away. The room quality wasn’t great if you’re looking to enjoy the hotel.

The food was delicious, with a good local style, and the hotel is right across from Tanjung Pendam beach. There’s also a local convenience store next to the hotel complex. Still, check-in took over half an hour, the building and rooms looked kind of old and smelled a little, and the bathroom water was literally brown.

The staff provided great service, and there are many restaurants near the hotel by the beach. But the beach itself is dirty, and swimming there isn’t recommended. Breakfast was average. The room was old, worn, and dirty, especially the smelly toilet. Towels were light brown instead of white, the bedsheet was old, and the comforter and pillows were poor quality. Wi-Fi was bad.
