The room and mattress are about what you’d expect for the price. The real draw is the spot: the hotel opens straight onto the beach and sits right next to Tanjung Pendam Beach. If location is your main priority, this is probably the best pick.

It’s cheap and right beside the city beach, but the beds are far too soft for me. Saturdays are rough too, with loud music going until 11pm and making it hard to sleep.

The staff weren’t friendly, and the room had mold, no window, and a bed that sagged on one side. On Monday, music stayed loud into the night, and the fan was noisy with no way to adjust it. I think this may actually be a short-term room, basically a brothel.
