The Mulia, Mulia Resort And Villas

The beach and resort grounds were the loveliest parts of our six-day stay. There are several places to relax by the water, and the pool was clear with no chlorine smell. The staff were warm throughout, especially the team at beach café Soleil 😍. Thanks for the good atmosphere and service. We did run into a few issues. On arrival, we asked about food during the day and were pointed only to the Asian restaurant. We later learned lunch was also served at the international café. The room furniture looked worn, and the sheets felt a little damp. I first put that down to Bali’s humidity, though we hadn’t had the same problem at other hotels. The pillows or blankets may have been a bit tired. The fridge was warm, but staff replaced it within an hour of our request. One odd moment came when heavy rain started as we were walking by the beach. We hoped to wait 10-15 minutes under a poolside shelter, but a staff member told us to leave because we had a one-bedroom room rather than a suite. We did get to shelter there briefly in the end, thanks for letting us wait under the area reserved for suite guests 😄 So kind and generous of you 🤣🤣🤣 Even with those uncomfortable moments, we enjoyed the stay. The views and atmosphere are beautiful, and many of the staff made it feel warmer. I hope management takes note of these details, because the place has real potential ☺️

The resort was beautifully kept, with lovely gardens and a peaceful, luxurious feel. During our week there, the staff seemed to anticipate what we needed, and breakfast at The Lounge was a real treat. There was a good à la carte choice, and the quality was lovely. The team soon knew our coffee and juice orders and happily offered suggestions. We also loved high tea, especially the generous food with free-flow cocktails and drinks. We were there with our adult daughters, staying in two suites. Check-in was smooth, and our butler made us feel welcome right away. He walked us through the suites, explained things clearly, and took care of dinner bookings and requests with no fuss. Everyone we met was wonderful. Rima deserves a special mention for her warm smile and genuine care, her service was 10/10. Our butler Agus was also thoughtful, professional, kind, and always willing to go the extra mile. The lagoon pools were enormous, and the team there made every visit easy. They found us daybeds, cleaned them, and checked that we had what we needed. They even remembered our names and came over for a chat about how the holiday was going. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with luxurious bedding that gave us some of our best nights’ sleep. Breakfast was another highlight. The restaurant was beautiful, and there were so many stations, including dessert, ice cream, and frozen yoghurt. It felt like a pleasant meal rather than a chaotic buffet. Servers remembered our drinks each day and brought over what we needed without us having to ask. From the moment we drove up to reception, everyone treated us so warmly. Our bags went straight to the room, and the lovely woman who showed us there gave us all the information we needed. The hotel itself is gorgeous and so well maintained. It was our favourite stay in Bali, and honestly, we didn’t want to leave. We’ll be back and will recommend it to everyone we know. I can’t wait!

We’ve already been twice and are planning a third visit. The staff get to know you and remember you from earlier trips, which makes it feel like coming home. Agus looked after everything, even ordering breakfast ahead and having candles ready when we came down. Alya always made us smile, and Andy knew our afternoon drink order and had it waiting.
