Dewi Sinta Hotel and Restaurant

I spent two nights here and had the pool to myself. The hotel was very quiet, and the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. I tried the Gurame (fried fish) with Nasi goreng, and it was delicious.

The staff were great, and I think this hotel could be the best in Tanah Lot if the owner kept it in good condition. From outside it looks nice, but the room was disappointing and seemed old and poorly maintained. The bathroom was dirty and moldy, its door was broken, and a cabinet was broken too. We were also missing one toothbrush 😩. Breakfast had few choices, and the pool needed more cleaning. A very strange experience in such a beautiful place as tanah Lot.

I hate saying this, but people should know before they book, and hotel management must already know how bad it is. This is the dirtiest place I’ve stayed in during more than 11 years of coming to Bali. It was my first time in this area. The pictures and earlier reviews looked decent, so I booked, but the bathroom was disgusting and the sheets were stained. I didn’t want to sleep in them or even take my shoes off in the room. There was mold everywhere, none of the outlets worked for charging devices, and both the toilet handle and front door were broken. I checked the pool in the morning and it was greener than a swamp, with no sign of maintenance for who knows how long. They called my room an upgrade when I arrived, and I hate to imagine the standard one. I feel sorry for the staff, but this hotel needs a major renovation. The owners have let it go. Please be honest with guests, this feels like an abandoned building site, not a hotel.

It’s a good place, but I got food poisoning for some reason. My girlfriend and I had eaten the same food for a couple of days, but I ate dinner here on my own. The next day I developed an intestinal infection, with diarrhea and dehydration.
