The air conditioning worked fine, but the place was very run down and dirty. The bathroom was extremely dirty and had almost no water pressure. Staff don’t speak English. I stayed because Lambitu next door was full, and 250,000 IDR for a single room seemed steep.

Breakfast is included, and the breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a bargain priced hotel, but check your room first. Some desk clerks were friendly, while another tried to charge me too much at checkout; a different clerk had to step in and get the quoted price honored. The shower is the old bucket style.

The buffet breakfast was okay, and there was a secure place to lock up my motorbike. Still, I can’t recommend the hotel. The room was shabby, with cockroaches in the shower, which is inexcusable. My first impression was poor too, with about half a dozen dodgy looking people hanging around reception. There are tiles everywhere, almost like a toilet block.

We only lasted a few hours before catching the early bus out, thankfully. This was the last place we checked in town and somehow seemed the best option, but I’d never come back. It was the most expensive hotel I stayed at in Indonesia, and also the worst. The sheets were dirty, there were cockroaches in the room, little bugs on the bed, and mosquitoes inside. The bathroom didn’t have a shower. At least the air conditioning worked.

We ended up here because Marina hotel was fully booked. We paid 240k a night, which was awful value for what may be the worst hotel I’ve stayed in at that price. The rooms are ancient, probably last decorated in the 1960s, and the old bedsheet wasn’t white and had cigarette burn holes. The bathroom is a joke: the sink tap and shower didn’t work, and only one tap over a big basin did. You had to scoop water with a bowl and rinse yourself. Luckily, the air conditioning worked well. If you find a better hotel in Bima, please share it.
