Puri View Inn Bira Beach

The beach is only a couple of minutes away on foot, and I could see Bira Beach from the balcony. The sunset was fantastic. Getting there was easy with Google Maps, and there was a small amount of free parking. I booked directly with the owner through the WhatsApp number listed on Google, and got a quick, detailed reply. My wife, our two kids, and I stayed one night in a two-bed room. The toilet was clean, the AC worked well, and clean water was available all day. The TV had no channels when I turned it on, and there was no internet or Wi-Fi. As the owner had explained, breakfast wasn't included, but guests could use the kitchen and fridge to cook. Nearby there were instant noodles and Indonesian food, though Western or Chinese food wasn't something to expect. Our room was on the third floor, so we had to climb the stairs, which was fine for me. I paid IDR 350K. After comparing nearby places, I thought it was worth it.

Ask whether the wooden special room is free. It's spacious and lovely, with a large private balcony and a perfect view. This is one of the few budget stays in Bari with a view. The rooms are clean and nice, breakfast is included, and the owners are very friendly. They speak pretty good English too, which helps.

From the rooftop you can see the beach, and Bira Beach is only a two-minute walk away. The standard room has AC, a fan, a TV, and there's a kitchen outside. Breakfast is free. The owner is friendly and runs two places: Puri View Inn for IDR 300.000 a night and Riswan Guest House for IDR 200.000 a night. I was there in June 2018.
