Seascapes Bira

Everything we ordered was delicious: curry with roti, a Tempeh burger, tacos, and the bowl. The staff were wonderful too 😊. We'll definitely come back!

Bira feels quiet and a little removed, but it isn't actually cut off. It's a small town at the tip of South Sulawesi, without tourists constantly clamoring for attention. Getting there takes several hours from Makassar, along a route through small towns, past a beautiful coast and salt farms. That journey feels like part of seeing the real Indonesia. Seascapes sits on a cliff above an almost pristine beach. It's a small, cozy resort with enough comforts for a restful stay. There's good food that satisfies, though nothing extravagant. The place has history, but it isn't loud about it. Bira and Seascapes feel woven into everyday life rather than like an escape from it. Several eco-friendly resorts here work to keep beaches clean, make diving sustainable, and involve local communities so they benefit from tourism. Come to Bira to write, think, and talk, or to connect with yourself and friends.

My family and I spent five days and four nights at Seascape, and had a wonderful time. The surroundings were beautiful, the sea stunning, and the food delicious. Vinod, the owner, is also from Malaysia and gave us a very warm welcome. We enjoyed every moment.

The villa was spacious, spotless, and carefully designed, and the cliffside setting gave us breathtaking views. The whole property combines luxurious comfort with the natural surroundings beautifully. Every meal was exquisite, whether it was a fresh local Indonesian dish or something from the international menu. Everything was cooked and presented so well. Seascapes felt like more than a resort. It was peaceful and joyful, a perfect place for relaxing and romance. From the first moment to the last, my stay was flawless. I've never had a more perfect holiday, and it's set an impossibly high bar for future trips. Thank you to the whole team for making such a magical place. I'll be dreaming about returning until I can come back.
